Radeberger Gruppe, Germany’s largest brewing group, is celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot (German’s strict Beer Purity Law), beer style diversity and innovation at the historic Pier A Harbor House.
Brewmaster Udo Schiedermair will tap a keg of Radeberger Pilsner Unfiltered (“Zwickel”). While it is the same brew as Radeberger Pilsner, it is a younger, unfiltered brewmaster version that is seldom available outside of the brewery in Radeberg. The event highlights Schiedermair’s coast-to-coast tour and marks the first time that Radeberger Zwickel will be available at its most qualified accounts across the U.S. for a limited run.
In addition to Radeberger Pilsner Unfiltered (“Zwickel”), Radeberger Pilsner, Schöfferhofer Grapefruit and Clausthaler Dry Hopped are also on tap.
And if your a little more than thirsty, the Pier House is also serving raw oysters, baby lamb chops, crispy oyster sliders, fish & chips and traditional pretzels.
