Few world cities have embraced bar culture quite like New York. From the most decedent to the most primal, New York takes pride in its watering holes. That’s why we were completely unsurprised that no less than seven of the “World’s 50 Best Bars” this year are right here.
William Reed Business Media compiles the ranking once a year based entirely on votes from 505 bartenders, drinks writers and “cocktail aficionados” from around the world, according to Patch.
This year, the NoMad did the best in NYC, taking the No. 3 spot. That’s right, number three in the world.
The other NYC bars to make the cut were: Greenwich Village’s Dante and Employee’s Only ; FiDi’s Blacktail; and the East Village’s Mace. The American Bar in London took the first place. [Patch]
