Word on the streets, aka the interwebz, tells news that after four years, the long-awaited Red Hook Tavern is slated to finally open this coming Thursday, July 18th.
Located at 329 Van Brunt, Red Hook Tavern is brought to us by Bill Durney, owner and pitmaster of already local favorite Hometown Bar-B-Que.
To quote their Instagram account @redhooktavernbk, and presumably owner Durney;
“It is a tribute to the classic old school taverns I spent time hanging out in growing up. The wine list is my love letter to all the growers and farmers that have inspired my passion for wine through their hard work and devotion to their craft.”
The 12 bar seats are first come first serve and the restaurant seats 40 overall. A reservation system is live on Resy for the opening and beyond, with their website following suit later this week.
According to one of our sources, the burgers are a force to be reckoned with, and we at Barchive can’t wait to get our hands on a beer & wine list!
Cheers to a happy opening!
